Captains practices:

Belchertown High School does not approve of or condone any type of gathering of our student athletes.  Captain’s practices are not in any way sanctioned, encouraged, recognized, or condoned in any sport by the MIAA or Belchertown High School.  Please see the link below to the MIAA handbook, and refer to rule 24 on page 26. Winter 2020/2021 January 4, 2021 to February 21, 2020

  • Winter 2020/2021 meeting will be the week of December 14, 2020 - date and time TBD.
  • Picture Day is ............ (you must complete the Athletic Student COVID-19 Checker before you arrive):
  • Parent/guardian and student athlete meetings.  The link will be posted for student athletes and their guardians in the sport specific google classroom on ......... .  Individual team meetings with coaches will begin at 7:30PM (following the large group meeting) and the link will be shared by their coach.
  • Google classroom will be utilized for all communication including but not limited to practice schedules, announcements, assignments, and general information.  Google classrooms will be sport and level specific.

Check in at practices/tryouts and games:

Coach will confirm - student athlete must be compliant with all below in order to attend practices/tryouts, games, meets, matches

Student athlete attended all remote/hybrid classes

Student athlete is academically eligible to participate

Student athlete is medically cleared to participate

Student athlete, with parent or guardian completed the daily COVID-19 symptom check Student athlete is wearing all required safety equipment specific to that sport

Student athlete is wearing the appropriate mask, not vented. Gaiters are not permitted at some school districts so we will require all students to have a non vented mask.

Student athlete is wearing appropriate shoes/cleats Student athlete is wearing the appropriate practice, game, meet, match gear/uniform

Student athlete has their practice/game pinnie. The pinnie will be provided to you by the school on ........ (pinnie will be returned with equipment at the conclusion of the season). 

Student athlete has a full water bottle

Student athlete has a small cone. The small cone will be provided to you by the school on ........... (small cone will be returned with equipment at the conclusion of the season). Please use your bag for the first three days of practice/tryouts.

Student athlete has a ziploc or clear bag containing the following: hand sanitizer and band aids, and a container of wipes to clean their equipment before returning it to their bag.

  • Please practice good sportsmanship when attending one of our games, home or away.
  • The Athletic Department implemented a tiered system for athletic fees in 2017. Please check the cost of each sport on the list below.
  • All checks for athletic fees are to be made payable to "TOWN OF BELCHERTOWN".  Please give your payment to the main office c/o the Athletic Director, or mail to Belchertown High School c/o Athletic Director, 142 Springfield Road, Belchertown, MA 01007.  Athletic fee must be received prior to the start of the season - January 8, 2020 for Winter 2020/2021.
